Prachtige plaatjes, @dabber. Mooi patina op deze munt. En ook het oppervlak en de diepte van het stempel is nu veel beter te zien.
En de kenmerken..
- verschillende lettergroottes
- beiteldikte (heel duidelijk)
- exergue uit proportie
- open stijl in helm en portret
- keerzijde figuur uit proportie
Wat mij opvalt, de meesta van deze kenmerken zie ik niet op de munt van adrianus.

@adrianus, what strikes me, most of these characteristic features we regard typical for western European barbaric imitation (as we find these) we do
not see on your coin ! Now suppose your coin would have the correct lettering, that is "URBS ROMA". In that case, no-one on this forum would have recognized that coin as a barbaric imitation. It would be regarded as official.
The official specimen of dabber's coin is
rare.
Would you be so kind to explain why,
in your view, the coin you show is barbaric imitation ?
